Thoughts on Business, Time & Money.
No man is guaranteed tomorrow and as time passes man grows older, arguably wiser, and self-reflective, and if that man possesses an audacious spirit he may ask: is what am I doing important? Is there any substance or purpose to the life I live?
If you ask this question in a sincere state of humility, you may be old or wise beyond your years. Wherever you may be, this life altering question is one to be asked. At my stage in life, I see my family growing quickly and I can’t help but want more time. Today money is less important and the value of time becomes increasingly more valuable.
Trading time for money has never been less attractive. As a business owner, I put in more time and energy than anyone in my company. Yet if tonight I take my last breath, there is no promise that what I built will last, or that the wealth I have accumulated will be cherished by the ones who inherit it. So, the company I build cannot be my purpose or identity. My accomplishments and accolades will not last the test of time. The purpose seems to be nonexistent, at least by the standards of a material world.
Spirituality is most important to me, I live for eternal life, and my faith is in Christ Jesus, a man who died and came back to life 3 days later. This man claimed to be God and more books, songs, movies, and art has been dedicated to Jesus Christ than any man throughout history. What is amazing, is he is recorded for no more than 3 years.
As I reflect on the question, is what am I doing important? Is there any substance or purpose to the life I live? I ask, whose life was important, who lived the most important life and what for, it was Jesus Christ and he lived for God. I know I have a purpose and will live forever if I follow Jesus, a man who lived not for the things of this world but who lived for the eternal, never changing God.
If you are looking for purpose, if you want to live a life that is truly important and will last beyond this world, follow Christ Jesus, the King of Kings and the Man who said that whoever believes in me will not perish but have eternal life. If you want to know how to get started, you can open the Bible and read the words Jesus spoke. From there I suggest you go to a Bible teaching Church and let them know you want to experience everlasting life.

Today many Californians think that Socialism is GOOD; I definitely disagree with the concept of handouts and leadership that gives everyone a trophy. As a Business Owner & Employer, I understand the value of a Dollar. My team and I compete against other businesses and fight for customers and their loyalty. We navigate through bureaucratic California laws and maintain a culture that promotes community, ingenuity, and opportunities. The Bible talks a lot about business, Jesus spoke more about money than heaven or hell. Biblically speaking there is much evidence to support being a steward and managing what God has given us, than pushing off responsibilities to big government.
